Doctor who series 11 CONCEPT
This was purely a passion project, created during the pandemic, to keep our creativity on the move. Series 11 had already aired, and an official title sequence was locked in. When the new logo for series 11 was revealed, it seemed fairly certain that the main titles would echo the excellent work created by branding agency Friendly Giants. But that’s not what happened.
As we’d worked on the official titles for the previous series, we knew how challenging unearthing fresh ideas for such an iconic show was. This meant that it was a perfect vehicle for a studio-initiated project. After a few false starts, we hit upon a journey from the centre of the TARDIS idea. The new brand reveal work gave us a visual anchor; we’re always keen to keep branding consistent. From that point we devised a sequence that turns the crystal aesthetic into a TARDIS reveal. All driven by a new theme arrangement we commissioned Swiss-based composer Alexander Erban to devise for us.
